Precision. Silence. Power.

The /dev/null is a purpose-built instrument for modern heavy music. Stripped of the unnecessary. Focused on performance.

Minimal in appearance. Maximum in intent.

26" Extended Scale — Controlled Tension

With a 26" scale length, /dev/null is engineered for low tunings while maintaining clarity and articulation.

The extended scale delivers:

  • Tight, percussive low-end response
  • Improved string tension in Drop A and beyond
  • Clear chord definition under extreme gain
  • Precise intonation across the fretboard

Low frequencies stay defined. Palm mutes hit with authority. Nothing turns to mud.

This is clarity under pressure.

Bolt-On Precision Architecture

The bolt-on neck construction is intentional.

It provides:

  • Fast, articulate attack
  • Immediate note response
  • Defined transient clarity
  • Serviceability and adjustability

The multi-ply wenge / maple neck is reinforced for structural rigidity and long-term stability under heavy string tension.

The neck joint is engineered for tight tolerances and optimal energy transfer — combining modern precision with the dynamic snap that bolt-on designs are known for.

Direct. Responsive. Controlled.

Materials with Character

The fretboard — crafted from Pale Moon Ebony — offers:

  • Glass-like smoothness
  • Sharp attack
  • Strong harmonic presence
  • Unique natural contrast patterns

Each top (oak burl / poplar burl variants) is selected for depth and movement, finished in a deep black-to-natural burst that enhances dimensionality without masking the grain.

No cosmetic excess. Only structure revealed.

Headless Efficiency

The headless architecture improves balance and reduces overall mass while maintaining structural integrity.

Advantages include:

  • Direct string path
  • Improved tuning stability
  • Reduced sympathetic resonance
  • Faster string changes

The result is a tighter, more focused instrument — especially under high-gain conditions.

Modern Output — Fishman Fluence Modern

Loaded with Fishman Fluence Modern pickups, /dev/null delivers:

  • Aggressive, controlled low end
  • Punch-forward mids
  • Clear, articulate highs
  • Multiple voicing options

From surgical rhythm precision to expansive clean textures, the response remains consistent and noise-free.

Designed in CAD. Built by Hand.

Every contour, cavity, and transition is digitally modeled for structural integrity and ergonomic flow — then finished with human attention to detail.

Engineering defines the framework. Craft defines the final feel.

When nothing unnecessary remains — only signal.
